About BaltOween

BaltOween is the school’s largest fundraising event of the year.

BaltOween is a distinctive outdoor festival that will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 on the 95-acre campus of The Maryland School for the Blind, located at 3501 Taylor Avenue in the northeast corner of Baltimore. Scheduled to last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this uniquely “Baltimore-style Halloween” event promises to offer attractions for the whole family to enjoy. In addition to a variety of food and drinks, highlights will include live music performances, and ‘The Outta Sight Hot Rod Show.’ Youngsters will have a blast in the “Kid’s FunZone,” featuring safe trick or treating, costume contest, moon bounces, hay rides, pumpkin decorating, clowns, and face painting.

AUDIENCE

BaltOween’s wide variety of attractions will appeal to children and adults alike.  Based on past attendance, more than 3,000 individuals are expected to attend.  While general admission to the festival is free, bracelets for the Kids’ FunZone will be sold in advance and during the festival for a nominal fee.

PROCEEDS

All proceeds from BaltOween will benefit The Maryland School for the Blind, a private, registered 501 (c) 3 nonprofit school dedicated to providing essential educational and therapeutic programs to more than 800 students (birth to 21) across Maryland who are blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled. BaltOween is the school’s largest fundraising event of the year.
